Hey guys, it's me, your "beloved moderator".
Anyways, I just wanted to say that one week from today, I will have my one year anniversary of joining the SFH Discord server. I will also be stepping down as staff in this sub and the Discord server.
When I first came around here a year or so ago, this place was basically deserted, minus a few fan-made comics and some polls asking about what the best game in the series was.
By using both this sub and the Discord server, we did a lot to put the community together and lift projects off the ground, from connecting servers to meeting Sky9 forum members.
I never thought we'd get to see what happened to Sky9, much less witness the creation of a remaster (and Sky9-sponsored dislike of SFH3) before our eyes.
Yet I've come to understand the appeal of the "ascend" or "prestige" or "rebirth" button. Whatever they call it nowadays.
The truth is that while I'm happy about things, I don't have the same interest in SFH as I did a year back, as much as it's a memorable piece of my heart to me. I've started a subreddit and Discord server for a different game I play with a cult following that I enjoy as much as SFH, and as things move by so quickly, I feel like things have moved by so slowly now. I hardly feel anything now, and I believe that I've done my job here smoothening the fandom out a little.
It's about time I pass the torch.
Just like when Whitey stepped down, I have high hopes for this subreddit to become a central hub to all things Strike Force Heroes related, especially with the release of SFHU and anticipation of SFHRC.
Thank you for the memories, and best wishes for the remaster and the other SFH projects.
Keep doing what you're doing Sky9. Let the other mods and the community guide you in my departure.
