15:1 回答柔和，使怒消退；言语暴戾，触动怒气。
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
15:2 智慧人的舌善发知识；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.
15:3 耶和华的眼目无处不在，恶人善人，他都鉴察。
The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
15:4 温良的舌是生命树，乖谬的嘴使人心碎。
The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
15:5 愚妄人藐视父亲的管教，领受责备的，得着见识。
A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
15:6 义人家中多有财宝；恶人得利反受扰害。
The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.
15:7 智慧人的嘴播扬知识，愚昧人的心并不如此。
The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools.
15:8 恶人献祭，为耶和华所憎恶；正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。
The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.
15:9 恶人的道路，为耶和华所憎恶；追求公义的，为他所喜爱。
The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.
15:10 舍弃正路的，必受严刑；恨恶责备的，必致死亡。
Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die.
15:11 阴间和灭亡尚在耶和华眼前，何况世人的心呢？
Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD--how much more the hearts of men!
15:12 亵慢人不爱受责备，他也不就近智慧人。
A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise.
15:13 心中喜乐，面带笑容；心里忧愁，灵被损伤。
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
15:14 聪明人心求知识；愚昧人口吃愚昧。
The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.
15:15 困苦人的日子都是愁苦，心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。
All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
15:16 少有财宝，敬畏耶和华，强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。
Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil.
15:17 吃素菜，彼此相爱，强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.
15:18 暴怒的人挑启争端，忍怒的人止息纷争。
A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.
15:19 懒惰人的道，像荆棘的篱笆；正直人的路，是平坦的大道。
The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.
15:20 智慧子使父亲喜乐，愚昧人藐视母亲。
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
15:21 无知的人以愚妄为乐；聪明的人按正直而行。
Folly delights a man who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding keeps a straight course.
15:22 不先商议，所谋无效；谋士众多，所谋乃成。
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
15:23 口善应对，自觉喜乐，话合其时，何等美好。
A man finds joy in giving an apt reply--and how good is a timely word!
15:24 智慧人从生命的道上升，使他远离在下的阴间。
The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave.
15:25 耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家，却要立定寡妇的地界。
The LORD tears down the proud man's house but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact.
15:26 恶谋为耶和华所憎恶，良言乃为纯净。
The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him.
15:27 贪恋财利的，扰害己家；恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。
A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live.
15:28 义人的心，思量如何回答，恶人的口，吐出恶言。
The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.
15:29 耶和华远离恶人，却听义人的祷告。
The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
15:30 眼有光，使心喜乐；好信息，使骨滋润。
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
15:31 听从生命责备的，必常在智慧人中。
He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise.
15:32 弃绝管教的，轻看自己的生命，听从责备的，却得智慧。
He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.
15:33 敬畏耶和华，是智慧的训诲，尊荣以前，必有谦卑。
The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
