Dear all,
Sad news. After much deliberation I have made the hardest choice I’ve ever made: I’m quitting Only Seven Left – with a heavy heart.
After seven years (how could it be otherwise) of beautiful adventures I feel it’s time for a new adventure. As some of you know I have another passion besides music: my own webdesign company. Both passions ask alot of time and they bothearn more than 100% effort and focus, but it’s impossible to give them both all the devotion they deserve. My job was also the reason Icouldn’t come to Indonesia.
In the past few weeks it became increasingly clear that I’m short on time for both of my passions so I forced myself to choose. Nobody wins with half measures.
Unfortunately there will not be a goodbye show. So I’d hereby like to thank all of you for your non-stop support, in any way whatsoever. Thank you for all the great shows that have always been a party. Thank you for the goosebumps when you all lustily sang along and all your daily, sweet and enthusiastic messages. I’m glad we got it all on film because there are countless precious memories.
Thanks Niels and everyone at Friendly Fire, our own crew <3, Arjan and everyone at EMI, Wim, all our family and friends across who came to see us all across the country, Zora, Miriam & Menno, Rob & Elly, Bart, Wouter, Kawai, Arno & Nienke and finally Bjørgen, Bram, Hinne & Jochem for seven beautiful years. Good luck with recording the new songs and I'll come and watch as soon as possible to check how you're doing without me!
