[2010-08-17 15:14:50] Sheila: right now, you are the one^^ and I'm also dealing with some emails
[2010-08-17 15:16:32] Katzman: ah.   Well I'm not doing anything at all at the moment.   Really I should
be getting to sleep before work tomorrow but I'm not tired whatsoever. Would you mind if I asked how you
old you are?   Just to have an idea of whom I'm speaking to
    [2010-08-17 15:17:31] Sheila: 26~~not too young ahha~~
[2010-08-17 15:17:52] Katzman: that's not old. :P   I'm turning 24 at the end of the month
    [2010-08-17 15:18:09] Sheila: ]:) a bit older
[2010-08-17 15:18:37] Katzman: pfffft, I know plenty of women who are older than both of us.   When's
    your birthday?
[2010-08-17 15:18:41] Katzman: coming soon or already gone?
[2010-08-17 15:20:40] Sheila: birthday this year has already gone``` in the beginning of July
[2010-08-17 15:21:59] Katzman: oh.   Well happy belated birthday!
[2010-08-17 15:21:59] Katzman: I'm adding you on skype by the way.
    [2010-08-17 15:21:59] Katzman: 您好!请将我添加到您的联系人列表中

[2010-08-17 15:22:40] Katzman: and that's done.   Do they still have the standard 9-5 shift in China?
[2010-08-17 15:22:50] Sheila: (rofl) thank you
      [2010-08-17 15:22:52] Katzman: or 8-5 maybe.   That's my shift
      [2010-08-17 15:23:25] Sheila: Sheila 已与Katzman分享联系人信息。
[2010-08-17 15:26:11] Katzman: gaaaaaaaaaaaah Skype is freezing
[2010-08-17 15:26:55] Katzman: But yeah, you get off at five right?   Or do they have different shifts over
      there?
[2010-08-17 15:27:51] Sheila: different companies have different working time set maybe~~
[2010-08-17 15:28:10] Katzman: ah.   How many languages do you speak?
[2010-08-17 15:28:30] Sheila: no hard rules saying that everyone shall be at work by 9 (rofl)
[2010-08-17 15:28:56] Katzman: well we don't have rules that say EVERYONE needs to be, but that's the
      standard office shift.
[2010-08-17 15:29:14] Katzman: have you ever been to America?
[2010-08-17 15:30:15] Sheila: learned some French in university, well```now I can say nothing
French```big tragedy, have never been to the US

[2010-08-17 15:30:55] Katzman: it's not as fantastic as people think.   Or maybe it is if you don't live
here, but I don't think it's that great.   I'd personally like to travel abroad.
[2010-08-17 15:31:04] Katzman: Only problem is I only speak English :x
        [2010-08-17 15:32:25] Sheila: english is worldwide anyhow~~
[2010-08-17 15:32:35] Katzman: Do most people in China speak english?
[2010-08-17 15:32:53] Sheila: traval is always a marvellous thing, but i don't have enough time to do
        long distance traval
[2010-08-17 15:33:16] Sheila: maybe you can say```most young chinese
[2010-08-17 15:33:37] Katzman: hm.   I only know one word in mandorin
[2010-08-17 15:34:08] Katzman: I tried learning a bit of a chinese when I was younger, but learning
languages other than english has always gone over my head
[2010-08-17 15:34:24] Katzman: I'd say the only other language I can kind of understand is russian
[2010-08-17 15:34:56] Sheila: russian is so difficult to me ~~~
[2010-08-17 15:35:11] Sheila: may need a lot of time to learn a new language

[2010-08-17 15:35:24] Katzman: It's hard to learn other languages once you've learned english because in english the sentence structure is backwards
[2010-08-17 15:36:20] Sheila: chinese children learn english when they are around 7 years old``` that's a lot of time for a 20 years old guy
          [2010-08-17 15:36:26] Sheila: yeah```
[2010-08-17 15:37:41] Katzman: My parents never sent me to another language class when I was young.   America tends not to teach other languages for some reason
          [2010-08-17 15:37:46] Katzman: we're very arrogant :/
[2010-08-17 15:39:33] Sheila: maybe that's because english is a worldwide language, so we need to learn that to be "international"
[2010-08-17 15:40:09] Katzman: it's best.   Isn't the world trade language?
[2010-08-17 15:42:41] Katzman: you should most definitely travel though.   I've already been through europe.   Fun place
          [2010-08-17 15:43:26] Sheila: a a a a ```envy alot~~~

[2010-08-17 15:43:43] Sheila: i'm trying to traval around China first^^
[2010-08-17 15:44:08] Katzman: is it like America where different parts of china are drastically different?
[2010-08-17 15:46:01] Sheila: not drastically, but definitely there are differences, if you don't use mandarin to communicate, you'll know nothing about what the dialect means
[2010-08-17 15:46:15] Katzman: how many different dialects of chinese are there?
            [2010-08-17 15:46:26] Sheila: a   back to language again ^^
            [2010-08-17 15:46:34] Katzman: hahaha.
            [2010-08-17 15:46:47] Sheila: that's a big and difficult questions```

[2010-08-17 15:53:20] Katzman: Americans LOVE to talk about how great democracy is, when in reality we're in a capitalist nation
[2010-08-17 15:53:32] Sheila: anyhow, i've already adapeted myself to this country
[2010-08-17 15:53:55] Katzman: Yeah, same here.   I just have to deal with the government taking my rights away while calling it "justice"
              [2010-08-17 15:54:00] Katzman: always good :P
[2010-08-17 15:54:51] Sheila: (rofl) everyone shall have some dissatisfaction toward the nation or the party in power
[2010-08-17 15:56:04] Katzman: oh of course.   Although if I remember correctly the entire world was pretty happy that Obama got elected
[2010-08-17 15:56:29] Katzman: I was happy as well.   I liked McCain but I hated Palin.   She was WAY too Christian
              [2010-08-17 15:56:39] Katzman: sorry if you're a Christian.   Don't meant offend

[2010-08-17 15:57:33] Katzman: wait, is it the same as in the USSR where you have to be atheist?
[2010-08-17 15:57:48] Sheila: most chinese are not religious ones
[2010-08-17 15:57:49] Katzman: I can't honestly recall the predominant religion in China
[2010-08-17 15:57:56] Katzman: oh, that sounds fantastic
[2010-08-17 15:58:07] Katzman: I'm an atheist, and everyone around me is Christian.   It's very annoying
[2010-08-17 15:58:18] Katzman: they always like to preach to me
[2010-08-17 16:00:11] Sheila: we have this impression that foreigners all believe the God←seems not to be the right impression
                [2010-08-17 16:00:26] Sheila: believe in God^^
[2010-08-17 16:00:38] Katzman: A lot of them do.   Actually 20% of America is atheist
[2010-08-17 16:00:52] Katzman: Sweden I know has a very large amount of atheists.   Same with Australia
[2010-08-17 16:01:14] Katzman: it just bugs me how militant america is about the christian thing
[2010-08-17 16:01:28] Sheila: wow, i'm luck of the culture

[2010-08-17 16:01:29] Katzman: then again, the same thing bugs me about the middle east.   The muslims are taking over Europe :(
[2010-08-17 16:01:38] Katzman: absolutely.   I'd love to live in a nonreligious nation
[2010-08-17 16:02:42] Sheila: religion seems to be an age-old thing
[2010-08-17 16:03:01] Katzman: yup.   But with enough logic and science, eventually it might vanish
[2010-08-17 16:03:08] Katzman: and people can actually start becoming intelligent and learned :D
[2010-08-17 16:03:11] Sheila: and of course lots of chines believe in Buddhism
[2010-08-17 16:03:17] Katzman: ah, now Buddhism I like
[2010-08-17 16:03:32] Katzman: very peaceful.   I like the whole concept behind it
[2010-08-17 16:03:43] Katzman: but it's more of a train of thought than a religion, right?
[2010-08-17 16:05:25] Sheila: (rofl) that's one side of Chinese cultural (although I know very little)
[2010-08-17 16:05:41] Katzman: hm.   I've been meaning to get more books about it.   I like to study religions
[2010-08-17 16:05:58] Katzman: Finished reading the bible recently.   Pretty awful
[2010-08-17 16:06:13] Katzman: now, it's 1am, so I should really be going to bed

[2010-08-17 16:07:47] Sheila: glad to talk with you and will inform you as quickly as possible the email, have a good sleep^^
[2010-08-17 16:08:05] Katzman: have a good day Ms. Sheila.   Goodnight!
