“In 1783, Noah Webster published a textbook named The American Spelling Book. The book not only enjoyed tremendous popularity but has also been used by every generation of American students. Webster also compiled a dictionary, which was the first one in the world. Furthermore, Webster made many changes to the English language, aiming to improve pronunciation and spelling. In his efforts to reform the language, the whole essay also contains a lot of his ideas. Overall, we can honestly say that a great amount of thought and effort must have been put into this project.”
