Boss Swoks is one of the bosses you can fight in Avorion, and likely the first you'll encounter. He can be found when your radial distance to the center is between 430 and 380, in empty sectors. He has a 1 in 20 chance of spawning, but is guaranteed to spawn after 8 jumps in empty sectors.
The formula for "radial distance" is the square root of (x2+y2). For instance the radial distance of (275, 290) would be the square root of ((275x275)+(290x290)) or the square root of (75,635 + 84,100) which would be 399.668612728. That number falls within the sectors in which you'd find Swoks.
