Ngam yanks the scarf off her neck and throws it back at him. The scarf lands on the floor and she walks out as Parote calls after.
Khun Ying Athiti arrives home looking for you son. She is shocked to find out that he has a new friend, Chalee. Sasi is reading a fairytale to her brother who is fast asleep. Chalee lies to Sasi that her brother is still wake so that she will continue reading the fairytale. For whatever reason, Sasi first believes this and continues to read. When she starts to question his fib, he tells her, “I thought you were asking me. I’m not asleep.” “That’s not funny,” Sasi reply. Khun Ying Athiti walks in. After a moment of recognition and hellos, Khun Ying Athiti carries her son to bed, leaving Sasi and Chalee alone. Chalee tricks Sasi into continuing The Orchestra of the Firefly. The two seems to be hitting it off and joking around.
Later that night, Sasi tells her step mom about the incident with Ngam and Parote. She knows Chalee acted out sarcastically because he was mad at those two. Sasi is not mad that Chalee was using her at the time because she knows he really is determined to get over Ngam. “You’re stronger than I thought. It’s admirable that you are helping Chalee, but what about you?” “I’m alright, Aunt. Even though Chalee is hurt by Ngam Saenluang, no matter what, he is good to me. Aunt, don’t worry about me.” Sasi then gives her step mom an invitation to the university’s charity play, “Sao Kreua Faa.” Sasi plays the fiancée of pra’ek and Ngam plays the role of Kreua Faa, the lead and lover of pra’ek.
Ngam’s maid is worried that people might question Ngam’s identity since “Sao Kreua Faa” is a story about a Northern girl. Parote might see the similarity of Mae Liang and Kreua Faa. Ngam tells her maid not to worry because he isn’t telling Parote about the play. Apparently, Ngam has been sneaking back to the university to practice after Parote has leaves each day.


Khun Ying Athiti is still trying to get in touch with Ngam. The servant tells her it’s not time yet. “If you pressuring her, you’ll push her further way,” warns Baa Homnoom.
Khun Ying Samerjai is happy to hear from the professor that Chalee is doing better at college. She thanks Parote for bringing Chalee back to reality. Parote tells his mother that Sasi should be thanked instead. Khun Ying Samerjai shows up at the general’s house to find Chalee there. She is delighted to see how much he has changed and that his relationship with Sasi has grown.
Seeing their mother in a good mood, Pope and Parote approach Khun Ying Samerjai again about the engagement ring. She refuses to let go of your heirloom ring. “The woman I support must be suitable.” Parote tries to argue in favor of his brother because Isaree is a mature stable working woman. Khun Ying Samerjai is unwilling to waver. She tells Pope that she is not greedy. “Never mind a small ring, if the girl is suitable I willing to give her any set of jewelry.” Humble and grateful, Pope thanks Khun Ying Samerjai for being good to him even before she was married to his dad. He apologizes for bothering her. Parote tells his mother it was his idea and he is to blame. Khun Ying Samurai’s setup that her sons are not up to her expectations.
The next day, Khun Ying Samerjai and her maid are cleaning her jewelries. She tells her maid that all her jewelries are of the best color and cut. There was not way she was going to give it away. At that moment, Sasi calls to invite Khun Ying Samerjai to the charity play.
At the university, Parote is looking for Ngam and sees a poster of “Sao Kreua Faa”. He is surprise to see Ngam’s picture as one of the lead. Parote rushes off to find the university’s theatre.


Ngam has forgotten to bring a broche and asks to borrow one. None of the girls are willing to lend her one. Instead they tell her, they don’t have one. Khun Ying Athiti hears this and follows Ngam to the dressing room. She offers Ngam her diamond broche but Ngam refuses to accept it. Khun Ying Athiti tells Ngam the girls are not willing to lend her a broche because of the rumors. “The rumors about me being a woman of many hearts. Switch from the younger brother to the older brother. That rumor?” Her mother tells she does not believe the rumors because Ngam has too much honor. Ngam tells her mother she’s not so sure because people change over time.
Ngam: “Didn’t you change your mind?”
Khun Ying Athiti: “I had a change of heart from your father due to an adult reasoning of us not getting along. In your case, people are saying you are seeing a person base on status. I want to help you because I know how you are.”
Ngam: “You never raised me. How would you know? Maybe, I’m exactly as they rumored.”
Khun Ying Athiti: “Not true! I don’t believe it. You are Princess Saengfarng of Chiangrath. There’s no way you would do that!”
Ngam: “Stop it Khun Ying. I don’t want anyone to know my true identity.”
Khun Ying Athiti: “Why? Why are you here without revealing your true identity.”
Ngam: “Stop it know, Khun Ying! I told you to stop. You should leave. In regards to my personal matter, I’ll take care of it. The person who has the right to order, teach and lecture me is my aunt who looked after me all this time not someone who has no duty towards me.”
Khun Ying Athiti: “I’m not using any right to order you. I’m just worried about you. Why are you not revealing your true identity? Why are you willing to let people rumor and talk badly of you to that extent? What problems are you going through? Tell me. I’m willing to help you with everything.”


General Jomnarong and Sasi are talking over the mobile. He is waiting for Khun Ying Samerjai outside the theatre. He wonders if Sasi has seen your step mom yet. Khun Ying Athiti was supposed to be there early to help Sasi get ready.
Ngam: “Why do you want to help me?”
Khun Ying Athiti: “Because you are my child. When you are in trouble, I am even more troubled.”
Ngam: “Do you really want to help me?”
Khun Ying Athiti: “Yes really I want to help you. Whatever problems you might have, you can tell me anything.”
Ngam: “In that case, could you…could you leave?
Khun Ying Athiti: “Ngam”
Ngam: “I’m getting ready before my performance. Since you been here, I have not had any concentration. Please leave.”
Khun Ying Athiti: “When are you going to understand me? How much I love you and wish you well. Why? Why do you have to do this to me?”
Ngam: “Please leave so I can get ready. If you are not going, then I’ll go.”
Khun Ying Athiti: “Take this broche with you on stage.”
Ngam: “There’s no need. I certainly will not use it.”
Ngam walks out of the dressing room, leaving her mother in tears.
Sasi goes out to greet her father and Khun Ying Samerjai. When Khun Ying Athiti arrives, everyone notice how every pale she looks. They all advise her to go home for a rest. After thinking of Ngam’s comment, Khun Ying Athiti agrees.
When Sasi goes behind the stage, she finds out that Chalee has borrowed a broche for a cast. Her friend assumed it was meant for Sasi. The friend describes the broche as having a pearl and orange jasmine on it. Sasi finds Ngam sitting by herself. Sasi tells Ngam she is looking for a broche. Ngam offers the broche she has which fits the description to the one which Chalee borrowed. Ngam explained that a staff member gave it to her. Sasi declines the offer saying her character really does not need to wear a broche.


During the play, Sasi who is overwhelmed by emotion of the love triangle looks at Chalee and delivers her line. “Many times, I see you without happiness because you are unable to let go of this woman. Do you hear me? Why? Why don’t you let go of her? No matter what, your relationship with her will never work.” The play’s pra’ek interrupts her, “I’m sorry.” Shocked and confused, Sasi tries to off. Ngam, still in character, runs after Sasi and continues acting. Ngam notice the unstable lamp post and pushes Sasi out of the way and uses her own body as a shield. Concerned, Parote runs to Ngam. Chalee also tries to run to Ngam’s aid but is warned by his mother.
Parote: “Are you hurt anywhere?”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “Parote, come out of there. It’s dangerous. Let the staff take care of it.”
Parote: “There was an accident and Ngam is hurt.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “I know there’s an accident. Come back with me. Let her take of her own business.”
Parote: “Mom, you go on first. I’ll follow later.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “Are you not going to listen to my advice anymore?”
Parote: “That’s not it, Mom.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “Why? Why must you get involve with someone else’s business? Let go of that girl.”
Ignoring his mother’s orders, Parote turns to Ngam, “Ngam, let’s go to the hospital.” See Ngam limping, Parote decides to carry her out which makes his mother more furious. Concerned about Ngam, Sasi and Chalee also go the hospital to check on Ngam’s status. Parote finds out from his brother, Pope, that Ngam only has a sprained ankle. Parote finds it odd that nothing else is wrong, after all, it was a lamp post that fell on Ngam.


In Ngam’s hospital room, Parote tells her it’s only a sprained ankle but he would like her to stay at the hospital longer just in case.
Parote: “For once you were a lead actress in a play and you didn’t bother to tell me. Why did you have to hide it?”
Ngam: “I found it was unnecessary.”
Parote: “Of course it’s necessary. Take today for instance, if something happen, what would I do? I worried a lot about you. Don’t you know?”
Curious, Ngam looks at him strangely.
Parote: “I mean…if the lamp post crushed you and something happens to you. I wouldn’t have anyone to fight with.”
Ngam: “Isn’t that good?”
Parote: “How is that good? You become a burden. Now I have to come and visit you everyday. Come to think of it, you’re quite courageous to risk your safety to protect Sasi. Next time, don’t do that again. I don’t want to see anything happen to you…not even a little bit. Okay, Ngam? Promise me you won’t do anything risky like that again. Can you?”
Ngam recalls the Parote’s confession to Mai Liang about loving someone else. “I don’t have to worry about me. It’s not your duty. It’s enough that we act as fake lovers in front of people. When we are alone, you don’t have to continue acting with me.” Poor Parote, he looks very hurt by her words and how unwavering she is by his heartfelt concern.
Sasi and Chalee arrive at the hospital but Chalee chooses to wait outside because he does not want to run into his brother.
Ngam: “I’m going home now.”
Parote: “Wait! Why are you so stubborn? I know you’re great and you can look after yourself. When you’re hurt, why don’t you let someone else look after you?”


Ngam: “I’ve told you. It’s not your duty to look after me. Just play your role and be done with it already. Soon it will be over. It looks like Sasi and Chalee are getting along well.”
Parote: “It looks like you really want our play to end soon.”
Ngam: “Yes, I want it to end… to end as soon as possible, today or tomorrow would be good. I think you would be satisfied too to stop forcing yourself with this play acting and duty.”
Parote: “What if I say that I don’t want it to end.”
Ngam: “You really like to tease me, Khun Parote? Are you very happy to tease me? To defeat me…”
Parote: “It’s not because of duty! Listen, Ngam. The reason I come to see you, to be with you, it’s not because of duty. The reason for all my actions is because I…”
Before Parote was able to confess, Sasi knocks and enters the room. Sensing that she has walked in at a very bad time, Sasi apologies, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were talking business. “That’s alright. I’m finished with my business with Khun Parote.” Parote tells Sasi he was on his way to pay the medical bills.
Sasi: “Thank you, Ngam for saving my life.”
Ngam: “That’s alright. I believe anyone in the same position would have done the same thing.”
Sasi: “Not everyone would risk her life to save another. Besides, my friends have been really rude towards you.”
Ngam: “About that, I don’t take to heart. Different people have different opinions. I can’t force everyone to think the same way.”
Sasi: “It looks like P’Parote is really worried about you. He wouldn’t let anyone else help you. Even though Aunt Samerjai’s prohibited him from helping, he didn’t listen.” Ngam: “But Chalee is also very worried about you too. Khun Sasi, as far as Chalee and I are concern, I’d like to explain it to you. Chalee is the greatest guy I’ve ever met. Because of that, a good person should be couple with another good person.”


Sasi: “Ngam.”
Ngam: “I’m happy to see a good person beside Chalee. If it was me, I don’t think I change him in a good way like this. You and he are well matched. I’m speaking from my true feelings. Whether you believe it or not, Chalee is only my best friend.”
Sasi: “If you say he is your best friend, why did you hurt his feelings?”
Ngam: “Because I want him to be strong. Even if I’m sadden by my action, but the result is that my befriend gets to date a good person as you. You must love him a lot, okay. Promise me?”
Sasi: “Ngam, I admit it…in the past…I looked at you differently.”
Ngam: “I’m used to it.”
Sasi: “But today, I need to look at you differently. It hurts to be only someone in the background to the person you love all the time.”
Ngam: “Khun Sasi. Just be yourself. One day, you will win Chalee’s heart. Believe me.”
Sasi: “I don’t dare think it, Ngam, that I can replace you. The truth about today…the broche that I asked you about…it was found for you by Chalee. I’m not sure you know about this.”
Ngam: “I really didn’t know.”
Sasi: “Ngam, Chalee is still concerned about you. I know I can’t replace you but I just want to do something for him so he would not be in such pain alone.”
The whole time the girls were opening up to one another, Chalee was eavesdropping on their conversation. Touched by both girls, Chalee later tells Sasi, “Don’t worry. From now on, I’ll take care of you.”
Parote returns to the room after paying the medial bill only to find Ngam missing. Fearing that Parote would insist on taking her come, Ngam left without telling Parote. Ngam’s maid begs her to stop resisting everything and just let things go or at least in her mother’s case. Ngam shoots a warning to her maid. “The matter with him is over. My only duty is to return Silamanee to Chiangrath. All other issue soon will be the past. There’s no use for me to tie my heart to those people.”


Khun Ying Samerjai waits for Parote’s return. She throws a horrible fit about his involvement with Ngam. He confesses to his mother that the relationship is a fake and their main goal is to have Chalee get over Ngam. Khun Ying Samerjai warns her son for playing with fire. She’s worried that Ngam might have feelings for Parote. He tells her that is far from happening. Khun Ying Samerjai wonders why Ngam is helping if she is not benefiting from it. “I promise to be more careful in the future. Once Chalee and Sasi settle down, I’ll stop seeing Ngam.” He’s mother looks at him, “it’s that easy?” “I’m doing everything for Chalee. We’ve walked half way; stopping now would not be good. Think of it has only a play, that way you won’t think too much.” Parote tells his mother and leaves. Alone in his room, Parote agonizes over his inability to tell the truth.
At the Buranayothin's house, Khun Ying Athiti goes to ask Sasi about Ngam saving her life. Sasi tells her step mom that she has misunderstood Ngam all this time. “I know Ngam is a good person. I don’t know why she broke up with Chalee and started seeing P’Parote. But I believe she is not as bad as people rumor. She must have her reasons.” Khun Ying Athiti is relief to hear this news.
The next day, Khun Ying Samerjai is still worried about Parote and Ngam’s relationship. The maid tells her, it would be good if Parote had a girlfriend already. “That’s right. I should have thought of it. Parote is of age to get marry. Yes, this method is fitting. With one shoot, I’ll get both birds. I’ll rid us of Ngam Saenluang and that princess from Chiangrath. This is the best method.” Khun Ying Samerjai has lunch with a daughter of a friend at a hotel. The girl has just returned from overseas. Khun Ying Samerjai offers Parote as a tourist guide to take her around town.


At the university, Parote criticize Ngam for leaving the hospital alone.
Parote: “I asked you how you are doing.”
Ngam: “I’m okay.”
Parote: “The other day, you shouldn’t have left like that. It’s not safe you know.”
Ngam: “If it wasn’t safe, I wouldn’t be standing here. A poor person knows how to survive. Don’t worry that something will happen to me and that I won’t not be able to continue this play with you.”
Parote: “I’m not worried about that. I’m worried about you. I’m really worried about you. If I keep saying it, you still won’t believe me. Are you done with your errands? Good. Let’s go.”
Ngam: “Go where?”
Parote: “I’m taking you home.”
Ngam: “I’ve told you. I won’t allow anyone to go to my house.”
Parote: “Don’t tell me you’re still ashamed about your family social status. I’ve told you I don’t care. With my pride and an honor, if I look down on your family even a little, you can throw me out of the house. Will you let me take you home now?”
Ngam: “I rather not. If you’ll honor me, leave me here.”
Parote: “Ngam, wait! Let me do something for you for once. Okay, I won’t take you home. May I take you out to lunch?"
At that moment, Khun Ying Samerjai calls. She wants Parote to return home soon. Ngam tries to leave but Parote asks her to wait. Khun Ying Samerjai hears this and asks to speak to Ngam.
Khun Ying Samerjai: “I have something important to talk to my son. Your business can wait.” 
Ngam: “I don’t want to hold him back. He chose not to go home himself.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “You’re telling me he went to see you on his own.”


Ngam: “Yes. Khun Parote was worried about my injuries so he stops by to look after me. He asks to take me out to lunch.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “Yes. That’s my son. That’s his weakness. He has a habit of taking pity on people. Some people who knows about his weakness and use this to their advantage.”
Ngam: “Yes I agree. I don’t think one should take advantage of someone’s sympathy. If I were to go out to lunch, it would be to appease him for wanting to take care of me.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “Ngam Saenluang. You want to challenge me?”
Ngam: “I’m only speaking the truth.”
Khun Ying Samerjai: “I don’t believe you. Parote is not like Chalee. At the most, he probably feels sorry for you once in awhile. Don’t expect too much. I’m going to speak to my son.”
Ngam hands the phone back to Parote. Parote confirms to his mother that he is taking Ngam out to lunch. Khun Ying Samerjai demands to go along. Parote turns to Ngam for her opinion.
Cream is a very pretty girl and will probably improve over time. However, I find her acting horribly boring and fake especially her one-on-one talks with Khun Ying Athiti and Ngam. For some reason either due to nervousness or lack of experience, her speech pattern changes and she talks at a snail pace. Quite odd. The phone conversation between Ngam and Khun Ying Athiti must have been awkward for Kob. Seems like art is imitating real life here for Kob especially since her future mother-in-law have publicly disapprove of her relationship with Brook Danuporn, her boyfriend of 9-10 years.
