I think Lin said it best in his post game, we definitely can score but the defense needs to be cleaned up, that 3 pt line rotation defense has to be cleaned up in order for us to really hang in there. I'd rather give up lay ups than wide open 3's to decent shooters, we were letting Morris and Tobias Harris let it rip from downtown early on. We can't allow that kind of stuff. What can be done to clean that up?
I love the ball movement, I love the attitude and hustle, I loved what I saw from Brook-Lin. They attacked and had no regard for any defender. Lopez had an excellent catch, face up, drive and spin reverse that was just nasty from about the foul line. I think that should be the norm. Brook was one of 2 for three. Lets get some more volume from him.
Jeremy Lin, love him already. Just a positive, no nonsense guy that attacked his defender. What impressed me was the aggressive play getting into the paint, and getting to the rim. the no hesitation from three. i really don't give a damn how many assists he averages if he's creating havoc off of the dribble and knocking down 3s.
Randy Foye. He's not going to blow anyone away with the eye test but I know exactly why Kenny put him out there. Very smart player. Made good plays, racked some assists. I think the shots will be there.
Trevor Booker is defensive hound. His footwork, his defensive IQ is far better than i expected. he just needs to keep things simple.
Luis Scola is a matador on defense but he can stroke the deep ball. Play him with the 2nd unit.
Justin Hamilton: 9pts 5rebs, 1blk 3-5 from the field.
Joe Harris got a lot of **** on here tonight but I can see this guy settling into a role he banged 2-4 from downtown and had 1 TO. he doesn't need to play big mins though
RHJ... 20 plus/minus 8pts 3 rebs 2 asts.
I think with the style of play that we have, and two attackers in Lin and Lopez, this team could be better. i think we need a 3rd guy, and I think that could be LeVert. lets see what happens. we need to defend better, but overall, very pleased with the direction we're headed in.
