The Executioner Hit and run specialist coming soon The Executioner will be heading out from Titan Defence Systems' shipyards with the next game update and represents an evolution in fast strike tactics for captains who favour a finisher role. Equipping a brutal Gauss Cannon and the unique Blink Back utility, the ship is a close quarters, final blow specialist risking poor general mobility in exchange for a devastating single strike. The Executioner is the Titan Defence Systems answer to the Zarek Enforcer, relying on accurate firing from a single burst rather than an escalating salvo.
In Depth Gauss Cannon The predecessor of the Interceptor’s Gauss Driver, the Gauss Cannon delivers a nuclear warhead at extreme velocity to deal high impact damage to a single threat, with minor collateral damage affecting those within the blast radius. The Cannons are automatically charged after 3 seconds but require pilot input to fire. While powerful, the cannons have a considerable cooldown and low tracking speed which makes mobile craft harder to target. Blink The Executioner houses Titan’s new Oldham Harris Relocation Drive. This OHRD does not require a fixed target for quick relocation, instead it can be directed to points at a set range from the craft. Overdrive A toggle ability that is a hold-to-activate, the Overdrive diverts most of its power from the main weapon system into its engines for superior manoeuvrability and speed. Such impact causes the Gauss Cannon to be fired at a higher rate of fire with significantly lower yield. Executioner Missiles Built around low-yield high-frequency use, Executioner Missiles are a harassment weapon system that is designed to apply pressure to a target as the pilot moves closer to initiate their Gauss Cannon strike. Blink Back With a sector-wide range, the Blink Back allows the pilot to return to the point where they were 30 seconds ago. This can be used strategically as an emergency escape, or to turn best used up where and when enemies least expect it. Pilots can see this position as a ‘ghosted’ version of the Executioner.
