Dear Mr.Ban Ki-moon,
I am a university student in China,and I’m writing to tell you something annoying.
I’m a color blind boy,and we people with colorblindness in China are living a difficult life.
First,we’re unable to do many jobs,such as doctors,painters,some kinds of workers,etc.We all know that we color blind people can’t do jobs like piolots,but can we do jobs like doctors,chemistry teachers in high schools? As I know,in many countries,color blind people can do jobs like doctors and painters.But in China,we never have chances to do such jobs.What’s worse,though many jobs don’t require a good color vision,like radiologists and ticket sellors in train stations,we are not allowed to do them at all.Sometimes,some companies deny clerks with color blindness,even if their jobs don’t require a good color vision,and they are allowed to do the same job in other companies.
I dreamed of being a doctor when I was a little boy.But unfortunately,I will never have the chance to achieve my dream,and there are so many unlucky boys like me in China.
Another serious problem is:we can’t get a driver’s lescence.According to the law in China,we can’t drive.But as I can see,the red light and the green light is so diffirent,but the red light and the yellow light looks just alike sometimes.I think we can drive cars,and colorblindness doesn’t affict so much.A fact is that some color blind people bride the doctors and they“pass” the color vision test.There’re some color blind people driving in China,and never have they caused any accidents.As I know, color blind people can drive,and I think we shouldn’t be banned from driving in China.
I think a new kind of traffic light should be used.Apart from different color,every light has its own shape.For example,a“V”stands for a green light,a“X”stands for a red light,a“O”stands for a yellow light.In this way,everyone who can see the lights can distinguish different lights.

If colorblindness can be cured,all the problems I mentioned can be solved.So I rellay hope that one day, a cure for colorblindness be invented.But before that day,all we can do is to make public facilites more easy for us to use.For example,maps in the subways should use colors that is more easy for us to distinguish.Bills should be redesigned too.I can well remember that one day,I mistook a 20 yuan bill for a 1 yuan bill,and I put the 20 yuan in the money box on the bus by mistake,they look just alike.Also,we need more chances to try things that other people think we can’t do,such as driving and some jobs.
I write this letter to you,and I really hope that you chan urge the public and governments to pay more attention to us,give us more help and give us more chance.I bleieve that we color blind people will lead a better life in the fulture!
