    Overture
    “Robin…”
A trembling pant floated out into the misty air. The man, as a captain of the army, was lying on the dry land. Everything seemed hopeless and miserable in this battlefield.
His face was close to the ground tightly, which covered with tiny grits and dirty muds. He was still trembling, trying to struggle up with his broken legs. Unfortunately, it was useless.
He closed his eyes and started to think of the woman, Nico Robin. He concentrated for a minute or two, but finally disturbed by a stentorian cry.
    “Zoro—”
He opened his eyes, holding his feeble breath. It’s him...Vinsmoke Sanji.
“Zoro—You bastard, where the hell are you—” The voice seemed getting closer and closer.
Zoro coughed. It seemed a miracle that the other man noticed the sound which uttered by Zoro, who was breathless.
    Sanji soon ran towards him.
“Bloody!” He roared and pulled Zoro into his arms. “You fool! Hold on, I’ll take you to the hospital!”

The editor of the newspaper office, Sir Crocodile, was sitting opposite from the columnist, Nico Robin. He noticed that she was absent-minded for some reasons.
He frowned. “Is there something wrong?”
Robin did not look up from the paper. She stared at it, but she did not understand the meaning of the word from the paper at all.
      “No.”, she replied mildly.
“I know what you are thinking of…your fiancé, right?”
Robin looked at him with her unpredictable eyes.
“Hmph.”, there was a smile climbing on his face. “He was fighting with our enemies, isn’t it?”
      He paused, lighting his cigar.
“What do you mean?” Robin still fixed her eyes on him.

          The candle was burning.
“What is it?”, asked Robin. “You said you have something to tell me. Is it about the column?”
“Not the column, but you.” Sir Crocodile said straightforwardly. He dived his hand into his pocket, and took out a small blue velvet box, which was quite delicate and exquisite. He passed the box to her.
After opened the small box, Robin gave him an astonished look.
There was a diamond ring lying on the velvet. Under the dazzlinglight of the chandelier, the ring was shining as shimmering blue ocean.
“…” Robin stared at him, speechlessly.
“Would you like to marry me, Miss Nico?” Crocodile was still smoking. He eyes were gazed at her.
“…But why? Are you going to tease me?” Robin didn’t understand the meaning of his act.
“Of course not.” He laughed with a chuckle. “Just want to have a wife, whose name is Nico Robin.”
“But I’VE HAD a fiancé.” She emphasized.
“He’s dead.” He said with a placid voice.
“…What?” She was shocked by the words of he just said.

“Suppose he’s dead, will you marry me?” Crocodile assumed expressionlessly.
“You totally startled me.” Robin replied. She closed the little box, and handed it back to the owner. “No, I would not marry you. We are colleagues but not secret lovers for each other, doesn’t it? And my fiancé are not going to die.” She rose to her feet, taking her Morocco handbag. “See you in office tomorrow, editor.”
She left the restaurant, leaving the middle-aged man alone.
