New version: 2.7 for tablet -- and Mac/Windows!
by loboLoco » Sat Apr 25, 2015 5:12 pm
I'm delighted to finally announce our latest plans for the new version of WolfQuest (hereby called 2.7). The new version will have so many improvements and additions that it'd be a shame to restrict it to tablets. So it's official: we're bringing the new version to Mac and Windows as well. (We're not ruling out phones, but there are challenges with small screen size that we haven't looked into yet.)
We'll aim to release it as soon as we can after the tablet version is released this summer. It might be a few months, depending on how much we improve the 3D environments for modern computers.
Pricing will be roughly comparable to the tablet version, though we haven't decided exactly how to structure the pricing (fremium plus IAP, or paid), as is the distribution service (Steam, Amazon, Desura, GOG, etc.).
The original free version of the game will remain available, but some or all multiplayer modes will be disabled by then, if not sooner.
Oh, and why 2.7? Well, it's not "WolfQuest 3" since there is not a proper third episode, so we finally decided that 2.7 sounds better than "WolfQuest: New and Improved."
