Suppose 2.00 mol of a diatomic gas is taken reversibly around the cycle shown in the T-S diagram. The molecules do not rotate or oscillate.
(a) What is the energy transferred as heat Q for each path? and
(b) for full cycle?
(c) What is work W for the isothermal process?
The volume V1 in state 1 is 0.2 m3. What is the volume in
(d) state 2 and
(e) state 3? What is the change U for each path and
(f) the full cycle?
What is the work W for the adiabatic process?
