(2)suffer vi.后常接from，表示“受……折磨，受……之苦，患某种疾病”。
楼主的笔记：suffer+具体的苦；suffer from+抽象的苦。比如遭受“相思之苦，孤单寂寞”都是心灵的抽象的摸不到的，就用suffer from。然而遭受pain，看得见嘛？看得见，你的脸扭曲了，很痛苦的样子，所以用suffer。
