Step 1:
with the money positioned as shown, fold up the bottom-third of the the dollar bill. Unfold.

Step 2:
Fold back (mountain fold) the top-third of the dollar bill.
Unfold.

Step 3:
Fold down the top corners so the edges meet at the center. Fold only the top layer of paper.

Step 4:
Fold the right-edge of the paper to the center (the center is where the edges meet from step 3). Fold just the top two layers.

Step 5:
Allow the paper to relax a little near the top of the model . Squash down the paper at an angle.

Step 6:
Repeat on left side: fold left-edge towards center.

Step 7:
Squash down the top of the paper. Make the squashes at the same angle so the front of the kimono looks even.

Step 8:
Tuck this new flap of paper under the collar (the collar is the white strip one layer underneath).

Step 9:
Turn model over.


Step 10:
Fold the top down as far as it will go (about a 1/3 of the way).

Step 11:
Fold the bottom up so the edges align. This completes the sleeves.

Step 12:
Turn model over.

and you're done!

If you start fold with the green side of the dollar bill facing up, then the kimono will be more black and white.
If you start with the black-side of the dollar bill facing up, then the kimono is mostly green and white. Both looks good!
