The novel "pride and prejudice" is set at the 19th century of England.
The persona, Elizabeth Bennet is a unconventional girl, who thinks that marriage should starts because of love. Yet all the examples around her show her the truth. The another persona, Fitzwilliam Darcy, a wealthy, upper class "mein", has a relationship conflict with Elizabeth. Elizabeth's prejudice and Darcy's pride create obstacles between their journey of courtship. Eventually, tey can over come all the difficulties and be together.
The point that makes this book so famous, is that it highlights a lot of social problems in those days. Elizabeth and Darcy show the difficulties of escaping the warping effect if hierarchical society. The importance of classes and reputation can affect the whole life of a person. But the most charming point is that, no matter what, our main characters can still end up happily, even though the pathway is just so difficult for them.
