Alejandra Vernon's story from Concert Warsawa 2012
I won’t give a concert report, because Alexander(scroll down to read Alexandr's story) has done that so perfectly; instead I’ll try to describe the emotions felt and the overall impact the visit to Warsaw and seeing Vitas had on me.
When my plane was taking off from Los Angeles I asked God for 2 big favors. #1 was to be able to see him with no make-up, and no sunglasses, just to be able to see his face and look into his eyes….and #2 was to just touch him, on his arm or hand…just for a sense of “yes, he really is real.”
When he arrived in Warsaw Friday night, I was the first to rush at him with an “I love you” and give him his bag, and I had the incredible opportunity to look into his eyes and see his resplendent beauty. He has such a clear face, seemingly untouched by any grossness of the world. Whatever his failings have been (and he IS human after all!) he seems to have kept a purity of soul. It is an amazing face. Being that I was the first in line, I was able to just observe him with the other fans….his simplicity and lack of self-importance astounded me. He is utterly, completely extraordinary.
Saturday morning Joanna led us to the flower market….it was wonderful! Picking just the right bouquets for our Shining Prince was a lot of fun. Joanna knows how to do things right. Saturday evening was the big night! Meeting all the fans was a delight. Our seats were fantastic. DIVA rocked!!! And Vitas! OMV Vitas. When he came out in that costume and sang “Dreams” I thought I had been transported to heaven. “Dreams” was a big surprise to hear, as was “Adagio” and “Jamaica.” The entire concert was a Rapture experience! Thanks to Joanna again I was able to go down in the front up against the stage for the last few songs…what a blissful treat.
The signing of the autographs! Once again, Joanna to the rescue…I would have been struck mute had I been alone. All I could get out was a “spacibo” and an “all for you” when Joanna told him I had come from America. After a bit the bodyguard was ushering us out and I was almost out the door which was behind Vitas when I noticed him get out of his chair….and face me….with arms outstretched….and…and….OMV…he gave me the most incredible hug. I was a total basket case after this. Joanna has film of me trying to talk about it that is absolutely hilarious. If she ever posts it you will all die laughing. I’m trying to explain that I had asked God for these 2 favors and they were given to me in such incredible abundance.

  My journey to Vitas' concert started with an absolutely unforgettabl e experience: while flying to Warsaw we got into a storm zone, and our plane was struck by lightning. It was a very strong, palpable crash, and frankly speaking, I got really frightened and shocked, like everybody on board. But after getting out of turbulence-our plane sharply took off, it occured to me that this lightning was exactly like Vitas in my life-he rushed into it in the same inevitable rapid way. And his appearance produced the same striking impression on me! How symbolic!
After landing safely, thanks to Lord, and still being excited by my thrilling flight, I was really delighted at the most cordial and freindly welcome I had in Warsaw! My new Polish friends and friends all over the world and even Polish officials and common people're so sweet and lovely that I know no words how to thank them for their utmost warm greeting and attitude! I felt at home in Warsaw immediately on arrival, as if I'd just returned to my native land after a long journey!
So, I went to my hotel to check-in, and started to get ready for meeting Vitas at the airport. (The Polish organizers were so kind to offer me such a great opportunity!) We arranged to meet at the bus stop before going to the airport together, but I was so stupid to walk instead of taking the bus, (I just couldn't resist the temptation to walk in Warsaw), and, as a result, I got to the wrong stop, was delayed and had to find my own way to reach the airport. At last, I was there and met my lovely friends! Everybody was very excited anticipating Vitas' arrival! Joanna gave me a flower and a Polish flag to greet him, 'cause I was so nervous and carried away that I didn't guess myself to buy flowers on my way to the airport.(Again so stupid of me).
And the moment came: Vitas appeared in the waiting hall! It was totally unbelievable! I could see him so close! He looks much more attractive and young live. He is still a young boy with a charming boyish smile and beautiful boyish looks. It's incredible how anybody can be as stunning as him!
The fans started to greet him, giving flowers, hugs and kisses, and I also approached him, being completely fuddled! Vitas accepted my flower and he tried to take the Polish and Russian flags I was holding in my hand, but the point was I needed the flags for the concert, as I wanted to wave them during the performance, so I didn't let the flags go, and Vitas was very surprised, 'cause he didn't understand why I was still trying to hold the flags and even pulling them. He thought the flags were meant for him, and it was so natural. So, it seems to me I said I needed the flags myself, and he asked why then I gave them to him? It was so funny that I couldn't help smiling! Luckily, the girls were watching us and took pictures of this fantastic scene! I'll really never forget it!!! :)))

The concert in Novorossiysk 28.10.11
The concert program was the same as in the last spring (at that time it was named “The Best and Most Loved Songs”, and now it is named “Mother and Son”). But there are slight changes in it. For example, the song “The Bird of Happiness” was moved from the second part to the first part of the concert, probably for a slight “dilution” of numerous sad songs by a joyful one. Nevertheless, the old habit seems to have played its role, because Vitas announced this song also in the second part, which caused a puzzled look of both DIVA and the audience. Vitas understood that he made a mistake and laughed. But it was too late to refuse his words. Since he had already announced the song, he had nothing to do but to sing it once more. :)) In both parts of the concert he performed this song not in duet with female assistants but solo. This time he didn’t perform the song “I Thank You” for an unknown reason and correspondingly didn’t walk across the hall presenting flowers to women. He performed “Kalinka” instead, but without a hat.
 Throughout the first part, Vitas was very serious because he performed sad and tragic songs (“The Bird of Happiness” was the only exclusion). But in the second part he compensated the lack of joy and entertained the audience here and there. He demonstrated cute mimics and dances, told various jokes, and flirted with the spectators.
 The song “123” was performed not in the black tinned costume, as in China, but in his famous red-and-black “gladiator’s” costume with electron letters VITAS running across it.
 When the audience was strongly warmed up by Vitas’ energy, some people began shouting orders for various songs: “Three White Horses!”, “Winter!”.. Usually Vitas ignores such orders and continues singing his program, but this time he was obviously in good mood and decided to make the people pleased. So, he sang the refrain of “Winter”, and this satisfied the shouters. :)
 At some moment, Vitas had to go to the dressing-room to change his costume. But suddenly he confused the way off the stage and went in a different direction. Fortunately, he quickly found a right way and thus avoided wandering about the stage in search for an exit. :)
 After the concert, the audience was invited to the dressing-room to get Vitas’ autographs. Surely, the corridor leading to the dressing-room was overcrowded – all were eager to get inside as soon as possible. People were let to enter the room by small groups. Vitas was still in good mood. He signed his photos, discs, or fans’ tickets and was very gentle to visitors.
 It’s hard to find appropriate words to express the emotions after Vitas’ concert. The show was MAGNIFICENT! Vitas was GREAT!

Storie from Victoria Giugo,Vilnius
on May 16 in Vilnius was the performance of my favourite singer Vitas. my love since 3rd grade.
I had been looking forward it and it finally happened. The last time he visited Lithuania was almost 6 years ago and sure u guys can imagine how much I have missed this face. :)
so, will tell you how it was.
The performance started with amazing music played by Vitas' band called Diva. It was really amazing and I enjoyed every single second. Then Vitas appeared in his cool costume and as always shocked everybody.
Then he was singing some of his new and some of his old songs and during PTICA SCHASTYA song he came down from the stage and started walking and singing in the hall then on his way back he grabbed my hand and started dancing with me. It was such a surprise for me I couldnt even realise the reality of this situation but as I love public and being on stage it was ok for me. the he kissed me and I went on my sit. After that he said  that it is the time to give some flowers to women and came again with some roses in his hands. Ofcourse I had received one. :D
 But unfortunately the time of that perfect performance had finished and Vitas left the stage and the crowd started gathering for Vitas' signature on their tickets or where ever. People were really crazy and I thought that they would kill me for being actually in the front. But anyway I decided to try my luck and wait for it. and it wasn't for nothing cuz I walked into his room and was all alone with him and the bodyguard actually :D anyway I was so nervous that I told him some stupid stuff and he even made fun of me repeating one phrase 3 times :D
ohh, people I was so damn happy and excited, he is def the best :) Vitas if u will ever read it remember to come to Vilnius again :) me waiting for u :)
