Vocal talent Mary Elizabeth McGlynn has provided her voice for the series ever since Silent Hill 3, in collaboration with Akira Yamaoka. When it was announced that Akira would not be doing any of the music for Silent Hill: Downpour, and instead Dexter composer Daniel Licht, everyone assumed McGlynn’s vocals wouldn’t be present in the new game either.
However, one of the games producers let us know that there are plans to have Licht and McGlynn work together on a track, possibly the games main title theme.
This is good news, and could possibly breathe a little bit of the “old” Silent Hill feel into Silent Hill: Downpour.
