Sesshoumaru and Kikyou in the moonlight... I have to say that it's rare for me to like alternate pairings, but the idea of Sesshoumaru and Kikyou as a couple makes so much sense and feels so right to me that I can easily see them together.
I made this fanart in 2007, and recently decided to revamp it a little. I sketched it on paper, scanned it, and used Adobe Photoshop 7 to color and to make the background. I really like the result!

This fanart was inspired by the meeting between Sesshoumaru and Kikyou in the chapter 263 of the manga (episode 116 of the anime). Although that was not a romantic situation, I loved the way he looked at her. I have to say that I love to draw them this way, with Sesshoumaru just looking at Kikyou. My old fanarts do not represent exactly how I imagine a relationship between them. Considering their personalities, their relationship would take time to develop. It would be a subtle romance, and that is what I like the most about it. ^ ^
